Belle Isle: Fighting the silent siege

Belle Isle, one of the SCA Detroit’s focus areas here in Detroit was recently featured in a special presentation in the Detroit Free Press’s online edition called: Belle Isle: Fighting the silent siege.

Written and narrated by Gina Damron and Brian Kaufman, Belle Isle: Fighting the silent siege effectively conveys why SCA Detroit’s work in E.Coli testing, outdoor classroom construction, habitat restoration, native planting and invasive removal is so essential in the preservation on one of Detroit’s jewels.  Taken over the course of one year, the following HD video is an intimate look on the 982 acre city park.
